Our hens
Our Hens are all Free Range, they have access to open fields throughout the day and they come in to purpose built houses for shelter overnight.
This gives them the freedom to follow their natural behaviours like foraging in open country but affords them the protection from predators and the weather.
The welfare of our free range hens is paramount to the success of our business. We want happy, healthy hens. This is why we take great care to ensure they receive a healthy, well balanced diet with access to food and clean water at all times. The hens maintain their own healthy exercise regime as they can run round our open fields all day long, before returning to the security of their purpose built accommodation overnight. The hens even have their own veterinary plan to ensure that all our hens remain in excellent condition.
We believe we provide the best possible environment for commercial Free Range hens. Our status as an RSPCA Freedom Food Approved farm confirms our strong commitment to the welfare of our hens.
