Our food producing methods are geared towards maintaining and improving the environment. We have been keen participants in the Countryside Stewardship Schemes, and now the Higher Level and Entry Level Stewardship. As part of this we have replanted 2,500 metres of hedges and restored 6,000 metres of fences for hedge protection since 1995. The farm is rich in wildlife, in particular a mix of fresh and salt water birds. Some 120 acres of our salt marsh are in an SSSI, Site of Special Scientific Interest. We are also members of LEAF, Linking the Environmental and Farming which endorses our philosophy of rearing livestock in an environmentally responsible way.

Our production standards are monitored by Farm Assured British Beef and Lamb, British Egg Industry Council Quality Lion Egg Scheme and RSPCA Freedom Food.

Food production – our strategy is progressive and focused on producing to meet changing consumer requirements whilst maintaining high environmental and welfare standards.
